How it plays
Players take turns or play side by side, aiming at targets printed on the inflatable backdrop. The darts grip the target surface, so hits stay put until someone collects them. Scoring is easy and there are no arguments.
Nothing moves and nobody gets hit, so it is one of the safest games to put in front of a mixed crowd. Turns are quick, which lets one game handle a steady stream of guests. Set one round per person while the line is long, then open it up later.
Scoring and contest ideas
- Five darts each, add up the points on the targets
- Sheriff versus outlaws: two teams, best total after three rounds
- Bullseye only: one point per dart that sticks in the center ring
- Hourly champion: the top score of each hour wins a sheriff's badge
What your rental includes
We deliver the inflatable, blower and darts, anchor it on a flat surface, and mark a throwing line a few feet back. We set the queue to one side so nobody walks in front of the targets, and we pack spare darts, because a few always vanish under tables. After setup, a volunteer can usually run it. Takedown is part of the rental.
Events it suits
School fairs, company picnics, church festivals and birthday parties all suit the shootout. It runs well with a volunteer, which keeps staffing simple. Indoors it needs a decent ceiling once inflated, so send us your venue height.
Pair it and book it
Players follow our rules on the day. Want a moving target? The Wild West shoot-off uses foam balls and a floating target, and the Outlaws Teeth shootout has players knock out an outlaw's teeth. For a row of targets, see the Bullseye shooting gallery. More on our add-ons page, or get a quote now.
Questions people ask
Is it safe for small children?
Velcro darts are soft and there is no moving machinery, so it suits young players with an adult watching.
Does it need a staff member?
Usually a volunteer can run it once we have set it up. We will walk them through it on arrival.
Can it go outside?
Yes, on flat ground with power for the blower. We avoid strong wind.
