Cow Milking Contest Rental

Two players, two udders, one minute on the clock. Our cow milking contest uses a life-size model cow filled with water, and whoever squeezes out the most wins. It's very silly and about the easiest way to get shy guests involved. Add it to your rental and watch the crowd form.

How the game works

A full-size model cow stands on a frame with a water reservoir inside and rubber udders underneath. Each player sits on a stool with a bucket. On go, both start milking, and at the end of the round the buckets are compared. Most water wins.

There's a knack to it. Pulling hard doesn't work nearly as well as a steady squeeze and roll, which is why grandparents who grew up near farms tend to beat everyone.

What your rental includes

We deliver the cow, frame, stools and buckets, set everything up, fill the reservoir and take it all away at the end. We confirm on your quote whether an attendant comes with the game or whether a volunteer will refill and judge. Indoors, we can talk through a floor cover if your venue is strict about water.

Events it suits

Almost anyone who can sit on a stool can play. Kids love it, adults get surprisingly competitive, and it gives people who won't go near the mechanical bull a way into the western fun. Book it for county-fair style picnics, school events, barn dance weddings and office hoedowns.

Making it a showdown

  • Run it as a bracket with a small prize for the champion.
  • Announce a milking showdown at a set time and invite a couple of well-known guests to go first.
  • Short rounds mean it runs alongside food service without holding anything up.
  • Because it usually needs no power, it can sit on a lawn far from the outlets, in a barn or on a terrace.

Pair it with

It sits nicely next to lasso the longhorn and the stampede ponies for a farmyard corner. For a kids' party, add a baby bull and you've got a full afternoon. See packages for more combos, then get a quote.

Questions people ask

Is it a real cow?

No. It's a model cow with a water reservoir and rubber udders. No animals are involved.

Will it make a mess indoors?

A little water usually ends up on the floor. Tell us about your venue's floor rules and we'll plan for it.

How many people can play in an hour?

Plenty. With short rounds and two players at a time, the line moves quickly. It depends on how fast the cow is refilled and reset.
