Why rent a hog instead of a bull
A bull reads as Western. A hog reads as fun, and a little ridiculous. People who would never volunteer for a serious bull ride will happily try to stay on a pig, because falling off is half the joke.
The rounder, lower body sits differently too. With less neck to hold, most riders grip with their knees and keep a hand on the handle, so the first few seconds feel new even to experienced bull riders.
Events the hog suits
At a food festival, we set up away from the grills and eating area. Smoke, grease and spilled sauce are no friends of an inflatable ring.
- Barbecue cook-offs and smokehouse festivals
- Pig roasts and backyard cookouts
- County fairs and farm days upstate and on Long Island
- Motorcycle rallies and charity rides
- Restaurant openings with a barbecue menu
What your rental includes
Every rental comes delivered, set up and run by a trained operator. We bring the ride, the padded inflatable corral and the safety mats, run it for your booked hours, then take it all down and haul it away.
Festival days are long, so we plan operator breaks and cover for the control box. Tell us on your quote request what the event organizer needs from vendors and where power is, and on hot days give the line some shade and water. For busy days our operator can keep a sign-up list, so nobody stands in the sun for half an hour.
Theming ideas for a hog ride
Lean into the joke. A hand-painted sign with a silly name for the pig, a straw bale or two, and a leaderboard with a barbecue pun all help. At a pig roast, let the longest rider of the day get first pick of the food line. At a farm fair, pair the hog with our cow milking contest so families have a barnyard trail to follow.
At a motorcycle rally, we set the ring up near the bike parking where riders gather. Expect a long line and plenty of heckling.
Questions people ask
Is the hog ride only for adults?
No. Our operator runs it slowly for kids within the age and size rules and turns it up for grown-ups who want a challenge.
Can you bring it to a bar or brewery?
Yes, with strict rules. Our operator refuses riders who seem intoxicated and waivers are standard. Riders ride at their own risk.
Does it come with its own ring?
Yes, it sits in an inflatable ring like our bulls. Send us your date on the quote form and we will confirm the setup.
